In addition to having "members at large" throughout the country, many ETE members also join local or regional chapters. These Chapters get together, often monthly, at members homes, church parish halls, or other public meeting facilities.
Each local chapter is free to choose their organizational structure and meeting format. In addition to socializing with others who share an interest in European railroading, members find an opportunity to share information and experiences and learn from each other about European railroading and the European model railroad hobby. Meetings often include presentations, slide shows, demonstrations or tutorials. Meetings in private residences often feature a tour of a home layout.
